FORTEM assists Vy to win Railway operations in Norway

FORTEM celebrates victory for Norwegian client

The Norwegian railway company Vy (former NSB) has been awarded the operator contract for the West package in a tender from the Norwegian Railway Directorate. Vy won the Railway Directorate’s third big tender, which is a contract for passenger train services on the routes Oslo S-Bergen, Bergen-Voss-Myrdal and Bergen-Arna. Vy won ahead of TideArriva and SJ.

The contract is historic, because the Norwegian state receives 2.2 Billion NOK from Vy during the contract period for the right to operate the routes. Up until now, the state has been paying for the services. In addition to a profit, the new contract will also offer more departures and a better quality in services.

FORTEM assisted Vy with bid management and quality assurance. We are proud that Vy won the contract, especially because the offer guaranteed the best quality at the best price with quality weighing of 60 per cent and price at 40 per cent.
